Join a group of women for the spring season to tend the fire of your strength and vitality. As we move towards the summer solstice, come learn ways to ignite your stamina for summer adventures. Let’s create devotion to inner and outer strength and kindle the fire of summer into your heart and body. This practice goes beyond the body and the physical to invite strength of spirit and cultivate personal dedication.
Together we will explore the foundation and range of core strength that is connected to our prayers and personal transformation. We will tend to the fire of our vital energy through swift and energetic movement and deep strength cultivation followed by restorative movement and meditation with inspirational poetry and sacred texts.
This is a movement for all class, as variations will be offered and each member of the group will learn to listen to their own body. You can expect to build lower body strength connected to your core, cultivate empowered upper body strength and feel ready for some summer adventures.

Rhythm & Flow
Yoga and Dance
Rhythm and Prana Flow classes invite heart-centered rhythmic movement to cultivate non-verbal states of flow. You can expect guided movement meditation, body and breath synched movement patterns, and invitations for fluid, creative, free-form movement with global influences to embody vitality and somatic awareness. As the sun increases each week we will embody solar energy and cultivate the bhavna (feeling state) of joy. Each class will end with nourishing restorative poses, stretching and a guided meditation to embody the lunar bhavna of flow, ease and down regulation. Join us this spring season to commit to a practice of self care in a circle of community.

Beginner Prana Flow
Awakening Your Vital Energy
Discover the transformative power of Prana Flow Yoga in this welcoming class designed specifically for those new to the practice. This foundational offering creates an accessible entry point to the flowing, breath-centered movement that characterizes this dynamic tradition. This class is both for people new to yoga and/or new to Prana Flow who want to experience the depth of an integrated practrice.
Learn fundamental movement patterns that build strength and flexibility
Develop a conscious relationship with your breath

Explore the balance of effort and ease within each pose
Connect with your body's innate wisdom and energy
Each class includes gentle breathwork to regulate your nervous system, core-strengthening elements, alignment principles for safe practice, playful movement exploration, and moments of guided visualization.
No prior yoga experience needed—just bring your curiosity and willingness to explore. This class provides modifications for all body types and fitness levels while offering options to gradually increase challenge as you become comfortable with the practice.

Prana Flow Yoga classes at the Somatic Arts Center are taught by Madeleine Balcom.
